A barbed wire barricade, divided the town,
Everyone chanted TEAR THAT THING DOWN!
No one could pass from east to west,
Hundreds that tried they were put to rest.
Guards in their towers; mighty and tall,
With guns in their hands - a bullet for all,
The city of Berlin once a prosperous town,
Now oppressed, tortured, and crumbling down.
Many people trying to find their freedom,
Separated by the wall that divided all,
Tear down that bloody wall! so many cried,
Never again making imprisoned lives.
The mobs formed all stood in awe,
The soldiers fired shots for breaking the law,
Escaping men shouted We wont be denied!
But the bullets flied, and love ones cried.
